Binomial nomenclature Two named way to identify life
Biochemical relationship The study of the chemical substances and vital processes occurring in living organisms.
Class Class is one of the taxonomical rankings in the hierarchy
Embryological Relationship Involves comparing the embryo with other animals that share the same habitat
Eukaryotic cell Eukaryotic cells are Membrane bound organelles , especially the nucleus, which contains the genetic material
Evolutionary relationship It means how two things are related with respect to their evolutionary descent.
Family Is one of the eight major taxonomic ranks
Genus Is another of the 8 taxonomical rankings
Homologous structure Is an example of an organ or bone that appears in different animals, underlining anatomical commonalities demonstrating descent from a common ancestor
Kingdom Is the second biggest rankings of the 8
Order Order is another one of the ranks in the 8 major taxonomical rankings
Phylum Phylum is also one of the eight major ranks but is used for plants
Prokaryotic cell A single-celled organism that lacks a membrane-bound nucleus mitochondria, or any other membrane-bound organelle.
Species Species is the most specific ranks in the hierarchy
Sub-phylum A taxonomic rank below the rank of phylum but not part of the major 8
Taxonomy/Taxon Is the arrangement of organisms into orderly groups based on their similarities
