How does the mimic octopus camouflage defense help them survive? they have the unique ability to turn virtually any color, pattern, shape or feature making it hard for predators to spot
How do the musk oxen's group defense help them survive? when they feel threatened, they work together to protect the young; they will face outward to form a ring around the calves
How do the american bison's group defense help them survive? they form a defensive wall against predators; the bulls form an outside ring, the females form an inner ring around the young

How does playing dead help the opossum survive? they will "play dead", their lips are drawn back, teeth are bared, saliva foams around the mouth, and a foul-smelling fluid is released, thus making it unappealing to predators
How does playing dead help the hognose snake survive? they roll on their back and play dead emitting a foul smell and let their tongues hang out of their mouths
