| Galaxy | Billions of tars held together in a group by their own gravity. |
| Light Year | Distance light travels in one year. |
| Mare | Solidified lava on the Moon. |
| Meteor | brief streak of light produced by a small particle. |
| Orbit | Elliptical path of an object in space as it moves around another object due to gravity. |
| Penumbra | Region of lighter shadow that may surround an umbra. |
| Revolution | Motion of one body around another. |
| Satelite | Object that orbits a more massive object. |
| Season | Defined and caused by the position of Earth's axis relative to the direction of the sunlight. |
| Solar System | Sun and it's family of orbiting planets, moons, and other objects. |
| Solstice | One hemisphere gets it maximum area of sunlight. |
| Umbra | Dark central region of a shadow. |
| Universe | Space and all the matter and energy in it. |
