Corona Outer layer of earths atmosphere.
Eclipse One object in space casts a shadow onto another.
Equinox Sunlight shines equally on the Northern Hemisphere and the Southern Hemisphere.
Galaxy Billions of tars held together in a group by their own gravity.
Light Year Distance light travels in one year.
Mare Solidified lava on the Moon.
Meteor brief streak of light produced by a small particle.
Orbit Elliptical path of an object in space as it moves around another object due to gravity.
Penumbra Region of lighter shadow that may surround an umbra.
Revolution Motion of one body around another.
Satelite Object that orbits a more massive object.
Season Defined and caused by the position of Earth's axis relative to the direction of the sunlight.
Solar System Sun and it's family of orbiting planets, moons, and other objects.
Solstice One hemisphere gets it maximum area of sunlight.
Umbra Dark central region of a shadow.
Universe Space and all the matter and energy in it.
