Science Chp. 1 Vocab

Here is the science vocab for enviornmental terms!

QuestionAnswer
Birth Rate - The number of births in a population in a certain amount of time.
Death Rate -The number of deaths in a population in a certain amount of time.
Population Density -The number of individuals in a specific area.
Indirect Observation -To observe tracks and other signs to count population.
Direct Observation -The count one by one of all the members of a population.
Carrying Capacity -The largest population that an area can support.
Emigration -Leaving a population.
Limiting Factor -An environmental factor that prevents a population from increasing.
Immigration -Moving into a population.
Sampling -Its a survey of a small but representative part of a population.
