| hypothesis | a statement of what might happen |
| observation | a statement made using your senses |
| experiment | a test to confirm or disprove a hypothesis |
| variable | a factor that can be changed or can stay the same |
| control group | the group that doesn't receive the special; treatment |
| procedures | step-by-step instructions given |
| data | information recorded from an experiment |
| precision | the ability to use a tool accurately more than one time |
| evidence | the proof of a statement |
| inference | a statement that can be drawn from observations |
| accuracy | to be able to get a measurement that is as close as possible to the actual. |
| model | a computer, small, or large scale duplicate |
| survey | a conduction in witch people are asked |
| sample | examining a random person in a population |
| independent variable | The variable that is changed by the scientists; the "I control variable. |
| dependent variable | changes when the independent variable changes (what is being measured) |
| experimental group | the group that revives the special treatment |
