Water cycle

TermDefinition
Ground water Water that is flowing underground.
water vapor H2O that is in the air
source (Rivers) Where all the water starts.
Runoff After it rains it runs off the ground to lower religions and makes it's way to rivers, lakes, streams, etc.
Fertilizer (salts) Chemicals to help the plants grow.
Pesticides (salts) Chemicals that kill off bugs
Herbacite (salts) Chemicals that kill off unwanted weeds
Nitrates Acids or salts
Phosophates phosphoric acid
Algal bloom Groups of lots of algae that comes on in a lots of it.
Fish kills Thanks to chemicals and other things fish die in the thousands.
Nuese River A river running across 17 counties in NC
River Basin The area around a river.
Condensation air to liquid in the upper air area.
Evaperation Water to air from the heat
Transperation evaporation off of the plants
Infiltration Insted of runoff in goes into the ground and becomes ground water.
Preciptation After condensation water droplets fall as rain, sleet, snow, or hail.
pH The amount of acidity.
Dissolved Oxygen This is the oxygen in the water that the aquatic organisms breath. Or the amount of it in the water
Hypoxia deficiency in some amount of our oxygen attacking the skin/tissue.
Turbidity The clarity or how clear the water is.
