Legal Terms for the test

QuestionAnswer
Precedent An example of a past decision used to justify decisions.
Common Law A system of law from england.
Laws A set of rules.
Democracy A way of governing, one person=one vote.
Civil Law Laws based on court cases.
Belittles To make someone feel small.
Fuedal Sysytem A form of governing, a country where there is only one ruler.
Court A place where justice is served.
Trial by jury A form of court where the people of society choose guilty or inocent.
Trial by Ordeal Where your fate is decided over torture, (e.g a with was thrown into the lake and if they float they are guilty.
Oral Laws A cultures laws.
