Earthquakes

TermDefinition
Earthquake A sudden shaking in the earth, sometimes violent but other times not as bad.
Crust The layer of the earth we live on.
Fault Rock movements in the earth.
Seismologists A seismologist is is someone who studies seismic waves.
Seismograph An instrument that measures and records details of earthquakes.
P-wave P-wave is a type of body wave.
S-wave An earthquake that moves side to side.
