Light

Use this StudyStack to prepare for the light exam (Gwinnett County, 4th grade).

QuestionAnswer
reflection Light that bounces off an object, often at an angle.
concave This sort of lens bends inward and spreads light apart.
transparent This word describes an object that allows all (or almost all) light to pass through.
opaque This word describes an object that blocks light from passing through.
translucent This word describes an object that allows some light to pass through, but is often blurry and unclear.
spectrum The range of colors you can see, the "colors of the rainbow".
light A form of electromagnetic energy.
convex A lens that bends outward and focuses light towards a single (focal) point.
refraction A bending of light as it passes through different objects; example: a pencil standing in a glass of water.
