generalization- broad claims or suppositions that cannot be proved
persuasion- techniques used for the purpose of getting someone to achieve an outcome
propaganda- using persuasion on large groups to achieve an outcome
scare tactics- presenting frightening data to achieve a certain agenda
testimonial- a recommendation from someone else
