| water cycle | the constant movement of water through the land, air, oceans, and living things |
| model | a physical representation to explain an idea, event or object |
| condensation | the process of changing from a gas to a liquid |
| precipitation | rain, snow, sleet, and hail that falls from clouds in the sky |
| accumulation | the collection of water in the form of a lake, stream, ocean, river, or puddle |
| evaporation | the process of changing from a liquid to a gas |
| humidity | water vapor in the air |
| runoff | water that is not absorbed into the ground, instead flows into streams or other collection areas |
| groundwater | water that collects underground in cracks and spaces in rocks |
| weather | the condition of the air outdoors such as temperature, cloud cover, wind speed and rainfall |
