What is the difference of urban and rural? Urban is city. Rural is countryside.
What were city-states? A city with farmland around it.
How did city states get along with each other? They didn't they fought over land and goods.
How was Sargon able to make the first empire? He made a true army and took over city-states.
What is a empire? An empire is a land with territories and people under a single ruler.
What is Polytheism? It is the worship of many gods.
What kind of powers did Sumerians believe there gods possessed? Powers over elements and important things.
Why did priests gain high status in sumer? People believed the priests helped them connect to the gods.
What was sumers social hierarchy? Kings,Priests,Skilled craftspeople,Farmers and laborers, and slaves.
What were men and woman's roles? Men had political status and skilled people jobs and woman were caretakers.
