| weight | A measure of how strongly gravity pulls on a object. |

| melting point | The particular temperature at which a substance changes state from solid to liquid. |
| evaporation | The slow changing of a liquid into a gas. |
| boiling point | The particular temperature at which a substance changes state from liquid to gas. |
| freezing point | The particular temperature at which a substance changes state from liquid to solid. |
| sublimation | The process in which matter changes state from a solid directly into a gas. |
| density | A measure of how tightly matter is packed in a given amount of space. |
