TermDefinition
System An interacting groups of items forming a unified whole.
Subsystem A system that is part of another, larger system
Open-loop system A system consisting of INPUY, PROCESS, and OUTPUT parts. Open-loop system cannot adjust to changing conditions.
Closed-loop system A system consisting of input, process, FEEDBACK, and outer parts. A closed-loop system can adjust to changing conditions through the use of a feedback loop that monitors, compares, and adjusts the system to keep producing an accurate output.
