TermDefinition
Character People or animals in a story.
Setting Where and when a story takes place.
Plot The main events.
Theme Lesson about life that a story teaches.
Internal conflict A conflict within yourself. You can control the outcome.
External conflict A conflict with an outside force. You cannot control it.
First person point of view Narrator of person telling the story.
Climax Point of greatest involvement and is part of the plot.
Static character One that undergoses little or no inner growth.
Dynamic character A character that undergoes an important inner change in personality or attitude.
Symbol A noun that represents something larger than itself.
