Force of Motion 2
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Constant Speed | When the speed of something or an object stays the same. |
| Deceleration | When an Object slows down. |
| Gravitational Force | The force that attracts an object with mass. |
| Inertia | To remain unchanged or staying the same. |
| Newton's 1st Law of Motion | An object at rest stays at rest |
| Newton's 2nd Law of Motion | The acceleration net force, in the same direction as the net force, and inversely proportional to the mass of the object. |
| Newton' 3rd Law of Motion | For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction |
| Relative Position | A point defined with reference to another position, either fixed or moving |
| Velocity | the speed of something in a direction |
| Zero Net Force | If the net force acting on an object is zero, then the object is not accelerating and is in a state that is called equilibrium |
