Solar Eclipse is a type of eclipse that occurs when the moon passes between the sun and earth, and the moon fully or partially blocks the sun
Lunar Eclipse occurs when the moon passes directly behind the earth into its umbra(shadow)
Terrestrial planet a rocky planet is a planet that is composed primarly of silicate rocks or planets
Jovian planet the latin word that means land
Asteroid a small rocky body orbiting the sun
Comet is an icy small solar system body that, when passing close to the sun, heats up and begins to outgas, displaying a visible atmosphere or coma, and sometimes also a tail
Meteoroid a piece of stony or metallic debris which travels in outer space
Meteor a small body of matter from outer space that enters the earth's atmosphere
Meteorite is a solid piece of debris from a source such as an asteroid or a comet, which originates in outer space and survives its impact with the Earths surface
Electromagnetic the range of wavelengths or frequencies over which electromagnetic radiation extends
Photon a prarticle representing a quantum of light or other electromagnetic radiation
Doppler Effect an increase or decrease in the frequency of sound, light or other waves as the source and observer move toward each other
Refracting telescope is a type of optical telescope which is also refered to as a refracting telescope
Reflecting telescope in which a mirror is used to collect and focus light
Radio telescope is an astronomial instrument consisting of a radio receiver and an antenna system that is used to detect radio-frequency
Hubble Telescope a space telescope is a space telescope that was launched into low earth orbit in 1990, and remains in operation
Space definition a rocket launched spacecraft
