| Meteor | a small body of matter from outer space that enters the earth's atmosphere |
| Meteorite | is a solid piece of debris from a source such as an asteroid or a comet, which originates in outer space and survives its impact with the Earths surface |
| Electromagnetic | the range of wavelengths or frequencies over which electromagnetic radiation extends |
| Photon | a prarticle representing a quantum of light or other electromagnetic radiation |
| Doppler Effect | an increase or decrease in the frequency of sound, light or other waves as the source and observer move toward each other |
| Refracting telescope | is a type of optical telescope which is also refered to as a refracting telescope |
| Reflecting telescope | in which a mirror is used to collect and focus light |
| Radio telescope | is an astronomial instrument consisting of a radio receiver and an antenna system that is used to detect radio-frequency |
| Hubble Telescope | a space telescope is a space telescope that was launched into low earth orbit in 1990, and remains in operation |
