| solar energy | light and heat from the Sun that is used for technology such as solar power |
| wind energy | energy that is used for electrical power. |
| water energy | The energy that can be used to produce electricity. |
| biomass energy | One common example is wood. it contains dead plants or animals. |
| geothermal energy | is the heat from the Earth. It's clean and sustainable. |
| nonrenewable | is a resource that take a long time to produce.they are being used up faster than they can be made. |
| fossil fuels | is a general term for decayed plants and animals.coal,oil and natural gas are three main examples |
| conservation | is the act of preserving, saving, or protecting; wise usage. |
| pollution | It is the introduction of contaminants into the natural environment that causes major change. |
| air pollution | Generally any substance that people introduce into the atmosphere that has damaging effects on living things |
| pollutants | can be artificial substances, pesticides or naturally occurring substances, such as oil. |
| water pollution | is the contamination of water bodies |
| contour plowing | was a method of plowing furrows that follow the curves of the land. |
| windbreaks | are linear plantings of trees and shrubs designed to enhance crop production, protect people and livestock |
| conservation plowing | is a soil conservation method in which the dead stalks from the previous year's crop are left in the ground to hold the soil in place. |
| crop rotation | is a systematic approach to deciding which crop to plant where in your vegetable garden from one year to the next to help manage soil. |
| fallow | farmers to let the land lie fallow in order to reduce grain. another word for it is unplanted. |
