scientific method the ways scientists follow steps to answer questions and solve problems
hypothesis possible explanation for a set of observations or possible answer to a scientific question that is based on prior scientific research or observations
controlled experment tests the effects of only one factor at a time and consists of a control group and one or more expermental grouos.
