Globe A spherical model of the Earth.
Map Shows the Earth on parts of it on a flat surface
Meteorologist Studies the Earth´s atmosphere;monitors, studies, and forecasts the weather.
Geologist Studies the history and structure of the Earth as it is recorded in rocks.
Seismologist People who study earthquakes.
Volcanologist People who study volcanoes and investigate active geysers.
Vortex The eye of a tornado.
Hurricane a storm with a violent wind, in particular a tropical cyclone in the Caribbean.
Tornado a mobile, destructive vortex of violently rotating winds having the appearance of a funnel-shaped cloud and advancing beneath a large storm system.
Eye The middle of a hurricane.
Funnel Cloud a rotating funnel-shaped cloud forming the core of a tornado or waterspout.
Typhoon a tropical storm in the region of the Indian or western Pacific oceans.
Water Vapor The state of water in a gas form.
Green House Gases a gas that contributes to the greenhouse effect by absorbing infrared radiation, e.g., carbon dioxide and chlorofluorocarbons.
