Science Vocab 4 Solutuion

TermDefinition
Solution a special type of mixture where it mixes evenly and you cannot see the different parts (ex: soda)
Solute the part of the solution that has the least amount (ex. sugar in sugar water)
Solvent the part of the solution that has the most amount (ex. water in sugar water)
Universal Solvent water
concentration the amount of solute added to a solvent- the more solute- the more concentrated. (Stronger the color or flavor)
Dilute when there is less solute in a solvent - the less solute the more diluted (weaker the less flavor or color)
Saturated when a solvent won't hold any more solute- salt sitting at the bottom of the cup.
