Water Cycle and States of Water
| Term | Definition |

| Evaporation | The change of a liquid to a gas. (Liquid Water into Water Vapor) |
| Condensation | The change of state from gas to a liquid. (Water vapor into liquid water) |
| Precipitation | Any form of water that falls from the sky |
| Ice | Solid state of water |
| Liquid Water | Liquid state of water |
| Water Vapor | Gas state of water |
| Freezing Point | The point where liquid turns into a solid (liquid water turns into ice) |
| Melting Point | The point where solid turns into a liquid (ice turns into liquid water) |
| Solid | Has a definite shape. Molecules are tightly packed together. |
| Liquid | Takes the shape of it's container. Molecules are loosely flowing together. |
| Gas | Expands to occupy whatever space is available. Molecules are moving rapidly and are very spread out. |
