Vocabulary Lesson 6

TermDefinition
Chart A visual representation of numerical data
Chart Area The entire are inside the chart container that holds background as well as plotted data
Data Marker A single column, pie slice, or point from a data series
Data Series All the data points for a particular category of plotted info
Legend The key to the chart that explains what each data series represents
Pot area The area in the chart container that shows the data series compared to the chart's gridlines
