Scientific Method

science a way of learning about the natural world and the knolage gained through that problem

inference an interseption based on opservation and prior knowledge
hypothesis a possable explonation for a set of opservations or an anser to a scientific qustion
controled experiment an experiment in which all factors except one ar kept constant
variable any factor that can change in an experiment
manipulated variable the one factor that a scientist changes during an experiment;also called the indipendet variable
responding variable the factor that changes as a result of chanes made by the manipulated in the experiment; also called the dependent variable
data the facts, figures, and other things gained through opservations
scientific theory a well tested theary that supplys a wide range of oppservations
