| Term | Definition |

| glacier | a huge mass of slow moving ice that forms over land; glaciers form in areas where the amount of snow that falls is more than the amount of snow that melts |
| sediments | sand, soil and rock carried by water, wind, or ice |
| erosion | gradual wearing away and removing of rock material by forces such as moving wind, water and moving ice |
| weathering | physical and chemical processes by which rock is broken down into smaller pieces |
| depositing | leaving behind sediments |
| terminal moraine | sediments deposited at the farthest point to which the glacier has moved |
| valley | the u or v shaped landform created by moving glaciers |
| sand dunes | a mound, hill or ridge of sand formed by the wind |
| Moraine | As a glacier flows it carries rock material |
| Butte | Narrow& steep hill with cliff like slide s |
| Erratics | Boulders left behind by glaciers |
| Terminal moraine | Deposits at the end of a glacier |
