TermDefinition
Attract To cause to draw near
Compass A device used to determine geographical direction, usually consisting of a magnetic needle mounted so that it points to magnetic north.
Electricity Electric current used as a source of power
Electromagnet A magnet that consists of a coil of insulated wire wrapped around an iron core that becomes magnetized only when an electric current flows through the wire.
Energy Usable heat or power
Charge To fill with an amount of electrical energy
Magnet A stone, piece of metal, or other solid that has the property, either natural or induced, of attracting iron or steel.
Magnetic field A condition in the region of space around a magnet or an electric current, in which a magnetic force exists.
