Roots a network of tubes, usually growing underground, that branches out in every which way

taproot system made up of one thick main root growing down form the plants stem, having a number of smaller seconday roots branching off, but it is deeper than it is wide
fibrous root system it made up of a series of roots growing in many direction, there is no main root , it is usually wider thatn it is deep
bulbs are not the roots but a special group of leaves and short stems, underground storage house
geophytes geo=earth and phyte=plant
underground storage systems in plants corms, tubers, rhizomes (a crocus, potato, an onion)
rooting to take a healthy stem or root from a plant and put it in soil or water and new roots begin to grow
clones plants grown by rooting
DNA every living thing has;it contains all of the information that is needed for growing and surviving
