Science Vocabulary Chapter 1

QuestionAnswer
Ecology The study of the interactions of the living organisms.
Biotic Describes living factors in the environment.
Abiotic Describes the non-living part of the environment, for example water, light, rocks, wind etc.
Population A group of organisms of the same species that live in the same area.
Community All the populations of species that live in the same habitat.
Ecosystem A community of organisms and there antibiotic environment.
Bioshpere The part of Earth where life exist.
