From liquid to solid Freezing point-the temperature at which a substance changes from a liquid to a solid
From solid to liquid Melting point -the temperature at which a substance changes from a solid to a liquid
From gas to liquid Condensation- the changing of a gas into a liquid due to cooling
From liquid to gas Boiling point- the temperature at which a substance changes from a liquid into a gas
Chemical change A change at the molecular level that results in the formation of a new substance Ex. Rust on metal, banana turning brown
Physical change The substance changes form but it's molecules remain the same Ex. Water freezing,glass breaking!
Mixtures Combinations of substances which keep their same properties Ex. Salad , trail mix , oatmeal with raisins
solutions Where one substance (solute) is dissolved into another. (Solvent) Ex. Kool-aid, coffe, tea!
