TermDefinition
Measurment A repeatable observation of a quantity that includes a number and a unit.
Estimate A reasonable guess at a quantity based on an observation.
Prescion Refers to how detailed or exact measurement is.
Accuracy Refers to the corecctness of a measurment
S.I System It is the unit of measurement scientists use around the world.
Length Is the distance between 2 points.
Temperature Is a Measure of how hot or cold something is.
Mass is the amount of matter in an object.
Volume is the amount of space it takes up.
Meniscus Water in an graduated cylinder has a curved surface
Displacement is usually measured or defined along a straight line. For example, we might speak of the distance between the center of the earth and an orbiting satellite , and measure it as 13,000,000 meters.
