| S.I. system | The seven units of measure as a basic set from which all other SI units are derived. |
| Length | The distance between two parts. |
| Temperature | A measure of how hot or cold something is. |
| Mass | The amount of matter in an object. |
| Volume | Is the amount of space an object takes up. |
| Displacement | The liquid in a graduated cylinder rising when an object is placed in it. |
| Meniscus | The curved surface of water in a graduated cylinder. |
| Density | The state or quality of being dense. The formula to get this word is mass divided by volume |
