prophase nuclear envelope dissipates, all chromosomes are around, spindles form
metaphase all of the chromosomes line up in the middle of cell
anaphase chromosomes pull apart to either side of cells
telephase forming two cells, just connected together
cytokinesis 2 new cells are made
what are the steps ,in order, of meiosis? prophase 1, metaphase 1, anaphase 1, telephase 1, prophase 2, metaphase 2, anaphase 2, telephase 2, cytokinesis
what is meiosis? creation of sex cells
prophase 1 same a mitosis
metaphase 1 chromosomes go with homologues pair in center of cell
anaphase 1 one chromosome of pair and its copy goes one way and the other on the opposite side.
telephase 1 same as mitosis but 23 chromosomes in each cell
prophase 2 same as mitosis
metaphase 2 same as mitosis
anaphase 2 same as mitosis
telephase 2/ cytokinesis spindles go, nuclear envelope comes. 4 sex cells are made
