TermDefinition
Density Density is a measure of the mass of an object divided by its volume.
Water table The upper surface of the saturation zone is the water table.
Permeable Soil and rock are permeable if the pore spaces are connected and water can flow through them.
Impermeable not allowing enough fluid to pass through
Infiltration introduce a liquid into something
Percolation filter gradually through a porous surface or substance
Recharge zone A land area into which water can infiltrate into an aquifer reletively easy.
Wetland land consisting of marshes or swamps
