Solar System

QuestionAnswer
Solar System The sun and all the objects that orbit it.
Orbit A path that an object takes as it moves around the sun.
Planet A large body of rock or gas that orbits around the sun
Asteroid A large piece of rock or metal that orbits the sun.
Comet A ball of dust and ice that orbits around the sun
Sun A star ball of hot glowing gas and it is the center of the solar system
Jupiter The largest planet.
Inner Planets Planets with rocky surfaces and have no more than two moons
Outer Planets Planets made mostly of frozen gas, larger and colder and have more than two moons.
