| carnivore | an organism that only eats meat |
| omnivore | an organism that eats plants and meat |
| abiotic | a non-living organism |
| herbavor | an organism that eats only plants |
| chloraphyll | a green chemical in a plants leaf that helps produce the plants food |
| raptor | a bird of prey |
| habitat | a place where an organism lives |
| decomposer | dead organisms that break down into the soil |
| camouflage | a diguise to blend in with your surroundings |
| mimicry | imitation |
| migration | movement from one place to another |
| instinct | something you are born knowing how to do |
| physical adaptation | the way organisms adapt to there environment |
| photoshthasis | the proses of plants making food |
| behavioral adaptation | things animals do to survive |
| scavenger | organisms that eat dead animals |
| food web and food chain | shows how energy passes through the enviorment |
| energy | sunlight and the start of a food chain |
| energy pyramid | a path in which energy travels from one plant to another |
