Seasons

TermDefinition
Roataion The spinning of a body,(planet) on its axis.
Day The time it takes a planet to complete one full totation on its axis.Earths day is 24 hours long
Revotion The motion of one body around another body in space.
Year The time it takes a planet to make one full revolution around the sun.Earth's year is 365 1/4 days long.
Season A time of year characterized by a pattern of temperatures and other weather trends.
Equinox When sunlight shines equally on both the northern and southern hemisphere.
solstice When the area of sunlight is at its maximum in one hemisphere and at a minimum in the other.
