What is the difference between a tablet and a capsule? A tablet is a disk composed of compressed dry drug; it's shape may vary. A capsule is a gelatin container containing drug particles.
What is the purpose of an enteric coated tablet? to prevent the drug from being dissolved or absorbed until it reaches the intestine
What is the purpose of a sustained release capsule? to deliver a dose of medicine over an extended period of time
