| Term | Definition |

| Magnet | Anything that attracts iron and has iron in it. |
| Magnetic Pole | Every magnet no matter what it's properties have two of these. |
| Magnetic Force | The attraction or repulsion of a magnets poles. |
| Magnetic Field | The magnetic force around a magnet. |
| Magnetic Field Line | Invisible lines around a magnet. |
| Atom | The smallest particle of and element. |
| Element | One of 100 basic partilce that make up matter. |
| Nucleus | The center of an atom. |
| Proton | A positively charged particle. |
| Nuetron | A particle that has no charge. |
| Electron | A negitively charged particle. |
| Magnetic Domain | When magnetic fields are aligned. |
| Ferromagnetic Material | A magnet said to have strong magnetic properties. |
| Temporary Magnet | A magnet made from a material that loses it magnetism easily. |
| Permanent Magnet | A magnet that keeps it's magnetism forever or until its destroyed. |
