| boiling point | the temperature at which a substance changes from a liquid to a gas |
| chemical property | the ability of a material to change its chemical makeup |
| conductivity | the ability of a material to carry energy |
| density | the mass per unit volume of a substance |
| melting point | the temperautre at which a substance changes from a solid to a liquid |
| solubility | the measure of how much of one substance can dissolve in another substance |
| condensation | the change of state from a gas to a liquid as energy is removed |
| deposition | the change of state from a gas to a solid |
| evaporation | the change of state from a liquid to a gas; slow or gradual vaporization |
