Respiratory System Vocab
| Term | Definition |

| Lungs | Two sac-like respiratory organs in the chest. |
| Trachea | Main airway that runs from the bottom of the throat to the lungs. |
| Diaphragm | A flat muscle located at the bottom of your ribs. |
| Bronchi | Two main branches of the trachea that goes into the lungs. |
| Lung Capacity | Amount of air in the lungs after deep inhalation. |
| Inhalation | Breathing in oxygen, moves into the lungs. |
| Exhalation | Breathing out. Carbon Dioxide is moved out of the lungs. |
| Alveoli | Small air sacs, site of exchange of gases. |
| Respiration | One inhalation and one exhalation. |
| Bronchioles | Each bronchi becomes increasingly smaller. |
