| Physics | The branch of Science dealing with matter and energy. Scientists who work in physics are called physicists. They study such things as moving objects |
| potential energy | stored energy |
| kinetic energy | the energy of a moving object. |
| conservation | in physics, the idea that something cannot be destroyed. For example, energy is always conserved, but may change from one form to another. |
| center of gravity | the point in an object where the object’s weight seems to be centered. |
| effort | The amount of force needed to move and object from one place to another |
| G-force | the force that acceleration puts on a coaster rider |
| centrifugal force | movement or tending to move away from a center. |
| positive g | force makes you feel heavier |
| negative g | makes you feel like you are going to fly off the ride |
