Axis a straight line about which a body or a geometric figure rotates

Full Moon The moon with its whole disk lighted

New Moon the moon's phase when its dark side is toward the earth
Orbit the path taken by one body circling around another body
Revolve to move in an orbit rotate
Rotation the act of turning about an axis
Appearance the way something looks
Gravity a force of attraction that draws particles or bodies together toward the center of the earth
Phase the way that the moon looks to the eye at any time in its series of changes with respect to how it shines
Reflection the of light from a surface
Waxing when the moon's illumination is increasing
Waning when the moon's illumination is decreasing
First Quarter when the moon is one-half illuminated by the sun and occurs when the moon's illumination is increasing
Last Quarter when the moon is one-half illuminated by the sun and occurs when the moon's illumination is decreasing
