Syncopation
| Question | Answer |

| Type 1 | tieing a weak beat note to a strong beat - pushing the accent back on to the weak beat. |
| Type 2 | putting a long note on a weak beat so that it absorbs the stronger beat following. |
| Type 3 | using an accent to accentuate a weak beat |
| Type 4 | putting a rest in place of a strong note, so that where a stress is expected - there is silence. |
