Grade 4 Theory

Syncopation

QuestionAnswer
Type 1 tieing a weak beat note to a strong beat - pushing the accent back on to the weak beat.
Type 2 putting a long note on a weak beat so that it absorbs the stronger beat following.
Type 3 using an accent to accentuate a weak beat
Type 4 putting a rest in place of a strong note, so that where a stress is expected - there is silence.
