| Melting | The process of changing matter from a solid to a liquid by adding heat energy. |
| Freezing | The process of changing matter from a liquid to a solid by taking away heat energy. |
| Boiling Point | The temperature at which a liquid changes to a vapor or gas. |
| Melting Point | The temperature at which a solid becomes a liquid. |
| Molecule | A group of two or more atoms linked together by sharing electrons in a chemical bond. |
| Volume | The amount of space an object takes up. |
| Physical Change | A change in the size, shape, or state of matter with no new matter being formed. One example is ice changing yo liquid water to steam. this change can be reversed. |
| Chemical Change | a change that occurs when chemical bonds are broken. An example is fire. A chemical change can not be reversed. |
| Matter | Anything that takes up space. |
| Mass | The concentration of matter in an object. |
