Unit 7 Human Body Systems and their functions

Collects information and responds to it by sending electrical signals. Nervous System
Breaks down food into nutrients that can be used by the body. Digestive System
Gets rid of the body's wastes. Excretory System
Systems other than excretory system that get rid of waste. Integumentary, respiratory, and digestive system
Absorbs excess fluid and returns it back to the blood; is a major part of the immune system. Lymphatic System
Overall function is to limit or prevent infection. Immune System
The maintenance of a constant internal environment when outside conditions change. Homeostasis
Allows humans to produce offspring. Reproductive System
Master control for the rest of the systems. Nervous System
Transports nutrients, oxygen, and waste to and from the cells. Circulatory System
Made of central and peripheral nervous system. Nervous System
