Why are coal, oil (petroleum) and natural gas called fossil fuels? they were formed from plants and animals that lived long ago
Explain what happens chemically when fossil fuels are burned. Many fossil fuels are hydrocarbons,contain hydrogen and carbon. When these fossil fuels are burned during combustion they combine with oxygen and other gases in the air to produce carbon dioxide, water vapor, and other gases.
What is fractional distillation used for Fractional distillation is used to separate mixtures of miscible liquids, such as ethanol and water.
What is fractional distillation? Define and describe the process. A process by which components in a chemical mixture are separated according to their different boiling points.
