| Magnetic Poles | Place on a magnet where the force it exerts is the strongest |
| Permanet Magnet | Keeps its magnetism after being removed from the magnetic field |
| Temporary Magnets | Quickly loses its magnetism after being removed from the magnetic fields |
| Electromagnets | A magnet created by wrapping a current carrying wire around a ferromagnetic core |
