Group of tissues each preforming its function and working together to accomplish a specific task Organ
Group of organs that work together to preform one or more function Organ System
Cardiovascular system contains Heart, Blood vessels, and Blood
Work together to deliver oxygen and nutrients to cells and remove carbon dioxide from cells Organ system
Name the organ systems in humans Skin, Skeletal, Muscle, Nervous, Endocrine, Cardiovascular, Respiratory, Digestive, and reproductive
To keep organism alive and healthy is the purpose of Organ systems
Cells require (1) Oxygen and glucose for energy (2) removal of waste (3) specific pH range for enzyme reactions (4) specific temperature range for protein stability
Homeostasis Active maintenance of internal conditions within normal range despite environmental chnages
