Terms used in science
| Term | Definition |

| Igneous Rock | Rock formed by magma cooling |
| Metamorphic Rock | Rock formed by immense heat and pressure being applied to other rocks |
| Sedimentary Rock | Rock formed by sediment being compacted and cemented |
| Sediment | Little bits of rock or mineral that is created by weathering |
| Magma | Molten rock under the Earth's surface |
| Mineral | A naturally occurring, inorganic solid, with a crystalline atomic structure and a definite chemical composition |
| Inner Core | The innermost layer of the Earth. It is a solid ball of iron |
| Outer Core | The thickest layer of the Earth. It is a liquid. |
| Mantle | The layer under the crust of the Earth. It is the layer all the plates are "floating" on. It is a semi solid. |
| Crust | The thinnest and top layer of the Earth. There are two types of crust: Oceanic, and continental. |
