ecology the study of all the interactions among organisms and their environment
abiotic factor any none living thing in the environment like water sun and temperature
biotic factor any living or once living thing that's apart of the envorniment
population all of the individuals of one species that live in one area at the same time
community all the populations of a different sepecies living together in the same area that interact and depend for food shelter and other needs at the same time
ecosystem all of the communities in a area and the abiotic factors at the same time that effect them
biosphere apart of the earth that supports life- the top part of the earths crust all the water covering earths surface and the surrounding atmosphere; includes all biomes ecosystems,communities and population
population density a number of individuals in a population that occupies an area of limited space
limiting factor any abiotic or biotic factor that limits that size of individuals in a population
symbiosis any close interactions among two or more different species , including mutaulims, commensatism and parstism
niche the role an organism has in an ecosystem including what it eats how it interacts with other organisms and how it gets its food( the organisms job) the enviornment
habitat a place where an organism lives
food chain model that describes how energy is passed form one organism to another
food web a model that describes how energy from food moves through is a web of interconnecting food chains
water cycle continuous cycle water molecules on the earth
